The Keep Riverside Clean and Beautiful (KRCB) program is an outstanding example of what can be accomplished when local businesses, community member(s), and local government exemplify leadership, teamwork and the spirit of volunteerism. Since 1992, KRCB has organized thousands of beautification projects. To accomplish all that, we have volunteers and partners who have dedicated time and resources to making the KRCB program possible.

This year, KRCB will host their Community Recognition Luncheon and recognize sponsors, highlight KRCB’s signature events, and present the following awards:

Iron Eyes Cody Award
Honors an outstanding man for exceptional leadership in raising public awareness about litter prevention, roadside and community beautification and participation in activities that preserve/ enhance natural resources and public lands.

Lady Bird Johnson Award
Honors an outstanding woman for exceptional leadership in litter prevention. The national award originated by Keep America Beautiful commemorates the former First Lady’s many litter prevention and beautification efforts.

Spirit of Volunteerism Award
Honors an individual or organization that partners with Keep Riverside Clean and Beautiful for an annual beautification project. The recipient reaches out into the community with leadership and volunteer recruitment and promotes the KRCB mission and spirit of volunteerism.

Bob Stewart Award
Presented to an outstanding member of Keep Riverside Clean and Beautiful Advisory Board for Exceptional leadership and commitment to the KRCB mission.

Environmental Steward Award
Given to a local private business in the City of Riverside for demonstrating environmental stewardship. Each year we look to recognize a business that incorporate ongoing practices in an effort to conserve and preserve our local environment.

Outstanding Waste Reduction Award
Recognizes efforts to minimize waste and promote responsible waste management in our community through recycling, awareness, conservation of resources and community awareness.

Outstanding Beautification Award
Recognizes efforts to improve, beautify and preserve our community through flower and tree planting, gateway beautification, community gardens, illegal sign removal, and graffiti eradication.

Outstanding Litter Prevention Award
Recognizes litter prevention activities that change behaviors in our community through litter prevention, training and development and community awareness. Click here Information on this year’s Community Recognition Luncheon.
